Privacy Policy – Emaan Plus

    Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data Emaan Plus collects, how it is used,
    and the choices you have. By using the app you agree to this policy.
  

1. Information We Collect

Account Information (Email, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple)

When you create an account we collect your name and email address. If you sign in with Google we also receive your profile photo. If you sign in with Apple on iOS, Apple shares your name and email address on first sign-in only; on subsequent sign-ins only an anonymised user identifier is shared.

Quiz & Game Data

Your quiz scores, number of quizzes played, last played time, and referral information are stored to power the leaderboard and your profile.

Location Data

We request approximate or precise location only to calculate the Qibla direction and local prayer times. Location is processed on-device and is never uploaded to our servers or shared with third parties.

Device & Usage Data

We collect a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token to send you push notifications. Standard usage data (crash reports, performance metrics) may be collected by Firebase Analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

Create and manage your account
Display your score on the leaderboard and rankings
Calculate Qibla direction and prayer times based on your location
Send push notifications about new content and reminders (you can disable these in your device settings)
Process referral codes and reward referrers
Improve the app through aggregated, anonymised usage analytics
Display relevant advertisements (see Section 4)

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely in Google Firebase Firestore, protected by Firebase Authentication and Firestore security rules. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us (see Section 8).

3a. Account Deletion & Data Removal

    If you delete your account — either from within the app or by submitting a deletion request —
    all of your personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
  

This includes:

Your profile information (name, email, photo)
Quiz scores, game history, and leaderboard entries
Referral codes and referral history
Push notification tokens
Any other data associated with your account

After the 30-day period, your data cannot be recovered. Some anonymised, non-identifiable aggregated statistics (such as total quiz play counts) may be retained for analytics purposes but cannot be linked back to you in any way.

To delete your account, go to App → Profile → Delete Account, or contact us at contact@emaanplus.com and we will process your request within 30 days.

4. Advertising

Emaan Plus displays ads provided by Google AdMob and Meta Audience Network (Facebook). These services may collect certain device identifiers and usage data to serve personalised or non-personalised ads.

We request non-personalised ads only by default to respect your privacy. You can review each provider's privacy policy below:

We use the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

6. Children's Privacy

Emaan Plus is designed for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Opt out of push notifications at any time via device settings
Revoke location permission at any time via device settings

9. Changes to This Policy
